Montero is a fast, honest jumper who will take a brave kid or amateur from 2 foot to 4 foot. He goes into the bridle, as a proper jumper should. This horse is genuinely point & shoot. He jumps anything & takes care of the distance completely himself. Auto lead changes and fantastic movement. He has also competed to 3rd level dressage & has an extended trot that will leave you breathless! Comfortable gaits and could be ridden by someone with a weak back. Just competed at the Pebble Beach Classics Week III in the 1.05 m & 1.10 meters. Clean rounds & always in the ribbons. Also showed with a child in the pre children's/AA, 2'9" division and finished with reserve champion after a 1st and 2nd place. She had only ever sat on this horse ONE time!!! This horse is a confidence builder with the capability of doing the mini-prix money classes as well. He has a powerful jump & beyond tight front end. Always sound, never had maintenance of any kind. He has the body of a 7 year old horse! This guy will compete until he is in his 20s with good care! |
